Entity of advertisers is once again part of the decision-making bodies of the Advertising Market Self-Regulation Forum
ABA (Brazilian Association of Advertisers) is back to Cenp (Advertising Market Self-Regulation Forum). In a meeting of the executive board, this Thursday (30th), the entity ratified its return to the Forum, after an absence of just over two years due to differences in the management of the Cenp at the time. As a sponsoring entity, the ABA is once again part of Cenp’s decision-making bodies, such as the Superior Council, the Executive Board and the Extraordinary General Assembly, in addition to Committees and Working Groups. The announcement was made during CenpHub, an event taking place in So Paulo.
The move reflects changes in Cenp’s new management, which began in December 2021, when Luiz Lara took over as president of the Superior Council. The ABA has a leading role in our market and its return should be celebrated. We are working together to develop a more pluralistic, dynamic and transparent market. a convergence of interests and having the advertiser’s eye on this process will strengthen the construction of the new Cenp, says Lara.
For Nelcina Tropardi, president of the ABA, the return to Cenp will strengthen the entity’s performance in the construction of a fair, modern, competitive and responsible market. In recent years, we have dedicated ourselves to dialogue with leaders of advertisers, entities, vehicles, agencies and digital platforms. The result of these conversations was the launch, in November 2021, of the ‘Best Practices Guide to the Advertising Market’. Now, with the ABA back at the Cenp, we will have even more strength to advance our flags in defense of free, vigorous, transparent, ethical and responsible advertising, says Nelcina.
