After 18 months of negotiations with John Wren, chairman & CEO of the Omnicom group, and Martin O’Hallora, DDB’s global chief executive, the duo increased their shareholding and opened up the possibility of having new partners, which will be announced later this first half.
They follow majorities, but it was a great deal. Now we have a surname that is our essence: creativity. We could open our agency, but they asked us: why open an agency if you can have a new Africa? We accept. We are also going to invest in business, as we did with Asia, says Gordilho.
