The piece was produced by students from the Audiovisual Production and Radio, TV and Internet courses, and will be aired in April on Sky
The commercial produced by Agência Experimental de Comunicação e Produo Audiovisual Motion, developed for the NGO Vaga Lume, was selected to be broadcast during commercial breaks, in April, by Sky.
Vaga Lume is a non-profit organization that promotes actions and activities that provide access to children’s reading in rural communities in the Amazon. The commercial produced for the NGO sought to highlight the importance of reading in childhood, and also the donation of books to help and further strengthen the initiative.
Raphael Denadai, president of SKY, points out that serious projects such as Vaga Lume, which encourage children’s reading in rural communities in the Amazon, need to be encouraged and multiplied and have our support.
Produced by students Bruna Vivolo, Carolina Amaral, Gabriela Zatta, Guilherme Marconato, Lara Godoy, Maria Lucia Azevedo and Maria Lusa de Almeida, the video is the result of the Transform(ao) Program created in 2020 by FAAP professor and social entrepreneur, Valdir Cimino, with the aim of encouraging students in the Audiovisual Production and Radio, TV and Internet courses to create content producers that contribute to the work of Civil Society Organizations (OSC).
Since the beginning of the program, more than 10 Audiovisual Communication agencies have been created, which have produced content for 12 social movements and civil society organizations.
The coordinator of the Audiovisual Production course at Centro Universitrio FAAP, Edson Gardin explains that the project is part of FAAP’s Social Responsibility and Sustainability actions, with the aim of valuing and recognizing volunteer work.
These actions aim to awaken in our students and teachers a passion for volunteering in the construction of knowledge, using communication and audiovisual to give voice, visibility and acceptance to social causes.
The project was supported by Extreme Reach, a digital content distributor. Celso Vergeiro, CEO of the company explains that for Extreme Reach it is an honor to be part of this project, encouraging the professional development of students and supporting voluntary work focused on serious and reputable institutions.
