Dutch brand disagreed with two tests carried out by Paladar magazine on Spaten and Bud Zero
Conar’s Ethics Council decided at the last meeting of its 2nd Chamber, held on Monday (24), to archive the process (34/23), in which Heineken disagreed with two tests carried out by the magazine Paladar, from O Estado de S. . Paul.
In them, sommeliers and judges selected, after tasting various products, the Spaten and Bud Zero brands as winners in the pure malt and non-alcoholic beer categories, respectively.
Heineken questioned the decision and the methodology used by the newspaper, but the Council disagreed with the argument and attested to the regularity of the award and the campaign that competitor Ambev ran with the award.
“Ambev – Spaten – Elected the best pure malt beer and Budweiser Zero – Elected the best zero beer in Brazil”. Result: unanimous filing”, announced Conar, in a note on the website.
The board members Ana Carolina Pescarmona, André Luiz Duarte Dias, Tila Francucci, Carlos Chiesa, Cludia Regina Soares dos Santos, Cristina de Bonis, Enrico Giannelli, José Maurcio Pires Alves, José Pereira Guabiraba, Marcelo Reis, Maria Tereza Sadek, Maringela participated in the meeting.
