The space has three floors and approximately 1,000 m, and will have a series of free experiences and services for park users.
Centauro will inaugurate the Centauro Ibirapuera Arena, at Ibirapuera Park in So Paulo (SP), next Saturday (6).
With the aim of being the home of sport and building a link between the public, the space has three floors and approximately 1,000 m2, with a series of experiences and free services for park users.
Arena Centauro will provide a series of free activities that include dance classes, yoga, soccer, basketball and other sports clinics. On the opening weekend, activities will be conducted by sports idols and former athletes.
Arena Centauro materializes our purpose of living sport with people, making us increasingly present in the sporting journey by offering services and experiences that meet all dimensions of sport: practice, entertainment and expression, said Gustavo Milo, director of marketing at Centauro.
In addition, the house will also provide, free of charge, the loan of various sports items such as balls and rackets, a workshop for repairing equipment such as skateboards and bicycles, and an area for trying on running shoes in partnership with partner brands of the retailer.
The space also houses an extensive service mall, at no cost, including daily loan of various sporting goods, such as balls and rackets; workshop for repairing equipment, such as skateboards and bicycles; and an area for trying on running shoes, in partnership with the retailer’s partner brands.
The venue was also designed to promote immersive itinerant exhibitions, with the aim of disseminating and promoting sports expression and culture. Available for visitation until the end of the year, the first of them takes an immersive, interactive and sensitive dive into the history of the sport. From 2024 onwards, every quarter, a new exhibition will bring more knowledge about this universe.
The venture is part of the sponsorship agreement announced by the SBF Group, the sports ecosystem of which Centauro is part, in partnership with Urbia, the company responsible for managing Ibirapuera.
In addition to the arena, the retailer has already invested in structural improvements to benefit the park, including the installation of nine stations for stretching, eight for gymnastics and renovation of the jogging track. Centauro was also responsible for the adidas Reveza, an event that brought together approximately 5,000 people.
By the end of 2026, more than 4,000m of the park will be under the responsibility and care of the brands of the SBF Group, which also includes the presence of Nike in the development and revitalization of multi-sports and sand courts, as well as spaces dedicated to sports such as skateboarding and football.
