Theater and musical show mark the celebration of Mother’s Day on the #CulturaEmCasa platform. #CulturaEmCasa, an initiative of the Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy of the state of São Paulo, managed by the organization Amigos da Arte, is the largest free cultural platform in Latin America and celebrated three years on the last April 21st.
On Sunday (14th), starting at 8 pm, the play ‘Mulheres Que Nascem Com Os Filhos’, conceived and starring Samara Felippo and Caroline Figueiredo, will be on display. Comical and dramatic, the play follows the path of woman’s rebirth after motherhood. The work invites women to think about maternity outside the labels based on themes such as pregnancy, puerperium, creation and acceptance of the body after children.
On the same day, at 9:30 pm, the platform features Zizi and Luíza Possi in an Original #CulturaEmCasa. The artists present ‘O Show’, recorded in March 2023 on the stage of Teatro Sérgio Cardoso, in São Paulo (SP). In the repertoire, songs that influenced both Zizi and Luiza, such as ‘Per Amore’, ‘Asa Morena’ and ‘Folhetim’, and classics presented for the first time in the voice of the artists.

To celebrate International Museum Day, the platform will present new episodes of the series ‘Inside the Museums’. This month, the public will be able to visit the MIS – Museu da Imagem e do Som de São Paulo on the 18th, and the Coffee Museum, located in the Historic Center of Santos (SP), on the 24th. , is presented by influencer Vivi Villanova, youtuber of one of the main Brazilian art channels, known as viveuvi. In addition to information about museums, Vivi also talks about works, exhibitions, historical importance and artistic movements. The series was launched on April 19, with a presentation by the Museum of Indigenous Cultures.
The Amazonas Opera Festival (FAO) was announced at the beginning of the month as the platform’s newest partner, with the presentation of live productions at Teatro Amazonas, in Manaus (AM). There are four operas. The first two, ‘Anna Bolena’ by Gaetano Donizetti and ‘O Contratador dos Diamantes’ by Francisco Migonone, were shown on May 5th and 7th, respectively. On the next 24th and 25th of May, #CulturaEmCasa presents two more productions, ‘Piedade’ by João Guilherme Ripper and ‘Peter Grimes’ by Benjamin Britten.
