After a year and a half at the station, Faustão will leave Grupo Bandeirantes de Comunicação in the second half of this year. The station released this Thursday (18) an official note on the departure of the presenter, who commands a daily program in the evening schedule, stating that the decision was made “by mutual agreement”.
Fausto Silva’s contract with Band was valid until 2026. The recordings of the attraction led by the presenter, “Faustão na Band”, normally continue until next week, and there should be unpublished programs for exhibition until the end of May. Starting in June, the station will show reruns until a substitute program has been released. In the official note, she states that “news will be announced soon”.
Fausto Silva’s migration to Grupo Bandeirantes de Comunicação took place in the second half of 2021. Leaving Rede Globo after 32 years, the presenter debuted, in January 2022, a daily program very similar to what he did on Sundays, on the former broadcaster. With more than three decades uninterruptedly on Brazilian programming, he has not given any clues about his future on television.
