Brand brings to the public an unprecedented exhibition in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the second championship
In partnership with the Brazilian Basketball Confederation (CBB), Centauro brings to the public an unprecedented exhibition in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the second championship of the Brazilian Basketball Team, which will take place between May 26th and 28th, from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. The exhibition, free and open to the public, will be at Arena Centauro, in Ibirapuera Park, in So Paulo.
On the first day of the celebration (26th), the 2023 Basketball World Cup will be on display, to be held between August 25th and September 10th, in the Philippines, Indonesia and Japan, with the participation of Brazil on the way to Paris 2024.
Following the celebration of the title won in 1963, in Rio de Janeiro, the company will launch a special collection for sports lovers: the ’60 years of bi’ collection honoring the anniversary of the second world title of the Brazilian Basketball Team. The rehearsal photos were taken at Esporte Clube Srio, in So Paulo, a traditional Brazilian basketball club, a breeding ground for superstars and world club champion in 1979.
Launching a line for fans, alongside Centauro, and also in partnership with Nike, was an old dream that we were able to achieve in 2023. It was a goal of our management, and we are already starting with a historic shirt like the one from the second championship in 1963. A shirt that brings back beautiful memories of Brazilian basketball and that never left the fan’s imagination. It is the first action and launch of others to come, says Guy Peixoto Jr, president of CBB.
In addition to honoring those involved in the conquest, Centauro wants to increase the connection between basketball fans and the brand, in addition to reinforcing it as a destination for the sport.
