Before you continue reading this Friday’s #TopPubli (26), it’s good to separate a pack of tissues because the emotion will run wild. Our special with the best May campaigns is coming!
As you already know, on the last Friday of the month, we celebrate the genius of several brands and agencies that stood out (in our humble opinion, of course) in the Brazilian advertising scene. And when it comes to the month in which we celebrate Mother’s Day, there was no shortage of beautiful campaigns to honor maternal love in all its forms. Make yourself comfortable and keep your handkerchief in your hand, and our journey through time will begin.
Mothers Day
Of all the campaigns we watched, three caught our attention for the way they were produced. Or rather, four, because we will have an honorable mention.
We started talking about Ninho’s publicity film, which shows the inversion of roles between mothers and children, that is, the children teaching the mothers. In the campaign, the boy Damião teaches his mother, Sandra, how to write her own name so that she has more dignity. It is examples like this that we need.

The second campaign that we highlight is from Ypê, which did not make it into our #TopPubli special for Mother’s Day because it was released to the Adnews team after publication, but it gained a well-deserved publicity space here on the portal.
The film’s narrative was built with three teenagers in different scenarios who seek answers to their personal conflicts in an artificial intelligence environment, and obviously do not find. Thus, the real mothers of these teenagers appear, in an exciting demonstration of affection and dedication, proving that nothing replaces the affection of someone who truly cares. We get excited, yes or for sure?

Now comes the Mother’s Day campaign that stole our hearts and never gave them back. Let’s be repetitive yes, but this merit belongs to O Boticário, with a totally real film about the challenges of motherhood and the importance of support networks. We were deeply touched by this film.
O Boticário – Become a Support Network
Agency: AlmapBBDO
Honorable mention? Yes, we will, and it will be for O Boticário again. The campaign stood out this month for winning the 12th edition of the O Melhor Comercial do Brasil award, held by SBT. Aired in 2022, the film also exposed harsh truths about motherhood from the social point of view, which is later deconstructed by the person most interested in the subject: the daughter. The brand’s message is timeless, so we want to invite you to watch it and fall in love too.

message sensitivity
Two other brands also stood out for the sensitivity with which they promoted their messages this month. The first was, without a doubt, Chevrolet. In the campaign announcing the launch of the brand’s first electric car in Brazil, the Bolt EUV, she brought a message about the future with an emotional delicacy. Watching this movie is worth every second of your time.

The second is not a brand, but a movement. We are talking about the Pact Against Hunger, which launched this week a sincere and very well produced campaign on the subject, with the participation of several artists and soundtrack signed by Criolo and Ivete Sangalo. The message is clear and touches the depths of the soul, just the way we like it. That’s why it conquered a space in our ranking.

It’s love
May says goodbye to give way to June, Valentine’s Month! That’s why we finish this special #TopPubli in a romance mood. By the way, it is interesting to talk about how this Vivo campaign deceived us. The brand proposes a different look at time, creating a rhythm that makes it possible to be off without ever leaving on. We watched it expecting a plot related to technology, perhaps something motivational, but what we found was a love story with all the clichés that leave us with a silly smile on our face and a warm heart. How not to love?
