Complete digital bank in financial services and means of payment, PagBank PagSeguro has just announced the unification of the brand, which is now called just PagBank.
PagSeguro was launched in 2006 as an online payment platform, aiming to provide the digital payment infrastructure necessary for the growth of e-commerce in Brazil. In 2015, the company innovated in the card machine market by expanding its services to physical sales terminals, becoming the first company in the country to sell machines to its customers without charging rent, in a movement to democratize access to means of payment.
In 2019, PagBank, the company’s digital bank, emerged. With the offer of cards, lines of credit, investments, insurance, machines and online payments, PagBank PagSeguro reached the mark of 28.7 million customers at the end of the first quarter of 2023, and consolidated itself as the second largest digital bank in the world. Brazil in number of customers, which represents approximately 13% of the Brazilian population. Now, the company announces the unification of the brand and the centralization of all products and services in a single brand, PagBank.
“The unification of the brand is a natural move and reinforces our positioning as a simple, solid, complete digital bank that offers financial and payment solutions for both sellers and consumers. At PagBank, our customers find everything they need to take care of their money in one place”, comments Alexandre Magnani, CEO of PagBank.
Among the products offered by PagBank, we highlight the complete free account, debit card, free credit card with a limit linked to investments or account balance, payroll loans, acquiring solutions for both face-to-face and online payments and insurance, in addition to function that allows investing part of the balance automatically and investments in CDBs, investment funds, Direct Treasury and variable income products, among others.
“All our products and services will be unified under the PagBank brand, including our card machines, which will be redesigned with a new and unique name to simplify our communication”, adds Magnani.
PagBank’s new positioning campaign
The campaign that marks the repositioning of PagBank stars actress Alessandra Negrini and reinforces that all of the company’s solutions, both payment methods and financial services, now have a single name: PagBank. The campaign has been running on open TV, online media, newspapers, radio and airports since last Friday (26).
“Since its inception, PagBank has continued to build a complete payment ecosystem, through a single application, a single platform and a single customer service. Now, all aspects of the company, which has a performance DNA always thinking about the best for customers, will have a single name, a move that, in addition to being strategic for consolidating the brand, positions and increases the company’s relevance in the banking sector”, comments Raphael Farias, executive director of Marketing at PagBank.
