We had a 52% increase in the number of companies certified compared to the previous year and this demonstrates the importance of the survey in influencing more and more organizations to dedicate themselves to learning and implementing the best LGBTQIA+ inclusion practices in the workplace, said Joo Torres, executive president of Instituto Mais Diversidade.
This year, the survey methodology evaluated the practices in four pillars, namely “Inclusive Policies and Benefits”; “Supporting an Inclusive Culture and Data-Driven Best Practices”; “Internal Training Efforts” and “Public Accountability and Commitments”.
The results of the second year of the survey strongly demonstrate the impact of HRC Equidade BR on Brazilian work environments. It is incredible that 91 responding companies, which together represent more than 830,000 employees, have dedicated time and energy to evaluate their practices of Diversity and Inclusion of LGBTQIA+ people and also that the 57 classified will be able to amplify this discussion to other companies and society in general by by sharing their practices, added Reinaldo Bulgarelli, executive secretary of the Forum of Companies and LGBTI+ Rights.
