Mariana Sá, who until then held the position of Chief Communications Officer (CCO) of the WMcCann agency, has just announced his departure. The director, who had been part of the team since 2021, is moving on to a new professional challenge.
“I am very grateful to the entire WMcCann team and customers. It was a great learning experience working at this agency, which values creativity with results. I end a cycle certain that I have become a better professional and I am excited to take a new path”, comments Mariana Sá.
The president of WMcCann, André França, thanked Mariana and explained the agency’s next steps after the director’s departure.
“We thank Mari Sá for her contribution and wish her success on her new journey. We have ten creative directors, who work in squads independently for each customer. At this time, Ricardinho Weitsman, responsible for leading the ‘Paywall Down’ anti-harassment campaign for L’Oréal Paris, will be temporarily in charge. A new leadership will be announced shortly, ”he explains.
Mariana Sá started her career at Propeg in Salvador (BA), and when she came to São Paulo (SP), she worked for ten years at DM9DDB as Director of Art and Creation. The professional also worked for two years at agencies PeraltaStrawberryFrog and Lew’Lara TBWA, as Executive Creative Director, serving brands such as Ambev, Itaú, Nissan, J&J, Natura, Banco do Brasil, PepsiCo, JBS, Adidas, C&A and Vale. The executive has won awards at Cannes, Clio, One Show, Professionals of the Year, CCSP, in addition to being invited to join the jury of important festivals such as Cannes, Clio, D&AD and Ciclope.
With more than 25 years of experience, before taking over as Director of Communication at WMcCann, her last professional challenge was as Creative Director at Globo, where she stayed for eight years and was responsible for projects such as the 2014 World Cup, Rio Olympics 2016, commemoration of the station’s 50th anniversary, Globo.com, Globoplay, and more recently, by rebrand of the communication group after unifying the structures of all brands.
