Converse launched its Valentine’s Day campaign, which aims to reinvent ways to celebrate the date, celebrating the new connections that Generation Z young people make throughout their lives.
For the action, named “Msica Pra Mandar e Dizer Ns”, the brand invited the singer couple Jota.p and Yasmin Oli to create a song that addresses new types of relationship, involving situations such as hookups, trisals, kisses without commitment, colorful friendships, conversations, web dating, among other forms established according to each one’s love language. The work is added to a videoclip that illustrates these references with pairs representing the affective variations, wearing the Converse line that commemorates the date.
“I think that relationship formats are increasingly plural, freer; I feel that people are safe in looking for something that contemplates them. The way of loving beyond sexuality seems to me to be in search of its own way”, explained Jota .P.
Recorded at Casa Odette, a mansion from 1901 located in Bixiga, So Paulo, the clip shows empty rooms and few objects being occupied by couples, threesomes and virtual loves. The action also features a choreography created by dancer Katy Serrano, a young woman supported by the brand, and replicated on Tik Tok by both singers and influencers.
