Brand expands its portfolio in Brazil with new products that seek to recreate the experience of classic Italian gelato
Unilever, which has some established brands in the market, such as Tablito, Chicabon, Cornetto, Magnum and Fruttare, is now expanding its portfolio and bringing Gelartier, its new gelato brand, to Brazil. The novelty promises a unique tasting experience inspired by classic Italian gelato, coming to complement the portfolio of premium pots, which today includes products from the Magnum Pote line and the Ben & Jerry’s brand.
The arrival of Gelartier in the country unites this passion for ice cream with the growing interest of the Brazilian consumer in premium foods, composed of high quality ingredients, free of preservatives, artificial colors and aromas. With this launch, we seek to expand the company’s share in the premium ice cream category and democratize the consumption of gelato in the country”, comments Camila Conti, head of ice cream marketing at Unilever.
The launch of the new brand is part of the company’s Ice business unit’s plan to lead the premium ice cream market in the next three years in the country. After all, Brazil is one of the biggest consumers of ice cream in the world, generating around 100,000 direct jobs and 200,000 indirect jobs, according to the Brazilian Association of Industries and Ice Cream Sector (ABIS). And as regular consumers, Brazilians are rigid in their search for quality and new flavor experiences in the universe of frozen delicacies.
Inspired by the art of the Italian Maestri Gelatieri and made by gelato experts, the new brand wants to be recognized for the experience it can provide, not only for gelato lovers, but also for those looking for something different from current ice cream.
