Study has new technology and seeks to raise the quality of series, advertising films and feature films in Brazil
After almost two years of research and development, in partnership with O2 Filmes, 555 Studios announces the definitive arrival of Virtual Production in Brazil. With the initiative, the entire audiovisual market, including film, streaming and branded content production companies, has at its disposal a structure and a set of services totally unprecedented in Latin America.
From the combination of LED panels, state-of-the-art game engines, tracking systems, virtual environments and practical scenarios, the companies present a versatile and immersive environment in which the fusion of the physical and virtual world makes it possible to configure sets where actors, presenters, cinematographers, art directors and the entire production team can see and interact with the content that surrounds them in a natural way.
We arrived at the best design of an LED Volume added to the ideal arrangement of technologies and tools after extensive research and development work based on the most demanding international standards. Our solution delivers the most advanced technology in the world’s main virtual production centers, says Fernando Palermo, executive director of 555 Studios.
555 Studios is already in operation in one of the studios at the O2 cinematographic complex, in Cotia (SP), and has powerful resources that allow you to create any type of scenario in a controlled environment with maximum reality in the final production result.
Today, the specialized studio has an area of 650 square meters and is equipped with two virtual production environments, the 555 Volume 6K and the Stage 4K. The premises also have parking, spaces for meetings, production rooms, preview, catering, dressing rooms and the entire structure for filming to take place in an optimized and comfortable way.
For actors, presenters, photographers and directors, the advantage of using technology is in understanding what the results of filming will be like from all interaction with the screen, including printed and accurate images. For the customer, the resource provides greater security in viewing the final result, offering a higher standard of reality than filming.
Paulo Barcellos, CEO of O2 Filmes, points out the importance of investing in technology and innovation and access. He believes that technology has the power to transform the Brazilian audiovisual sector and raise productions to an international level. We are committed to sharing what we learn with other producers in the market. Therefore, our studio is open for other companies to have access to Virtual Production technology. We want to democratize the Brazilian audiovisual sector and make the industry stronger and more competitive. Together, we can make the most of available technology to create high-quality content, he says.
