Hering assumes commitment as a Carbon Zero brand also at the event
Hering will celebrate all the plurality present in Brazil at the second edition of the Festival Tur, which takes place this weekend, June 24th and 25th, in the external area of the Ibirapuera Auditorium, in Ibirapuera Park, in So Paulo.
The brand known as O Bsico do Brasil is the event’s master sponsor and joins Time For Fun, the creator of the festival to exalt the diversity of our country’s culture and promote a responsible Festival: Hering will neutralize the event’s carbon emissions.
It is estimated that 269 tons of greenhouse gas emissions will be offset during the two days of the festival, in collaboration with Jundu, a platform that certifies and sells carbon credits to protect ecosystems in projects that accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy. . To offset the festival, carbon credits from native forest restoration projects will be used.
Commitment to sustainability is a guideline at Hering. In 2021, we became a carbon neutral company. And, Hering’s most iconic product, which is also featured in Tur, is the World T-shirt, also zero carbon. Since the beginning of the project, we have already offset 30 tons of carbon from more than 8 million T-shirts sold. The neutralization of CO in Tur is another way of expressing our environmental and social causes. After all, this is one of the pillars of the true Basics of Brazil to do good, for people and for the planet, says Fabiola Guimares, Hering brand director.
As a backdrop to sponsorship of Tur, the brand launches the “Numa Hering Cabe Tudo” campaign, which, like the festival, reinforces its democratic identity. The brand will also carry out surprise actions during the festival. Among them, the stand dedicated to the identity of the brand’s basic piece resembling megastores, which reinforces its icons, is composed of the exhibition of several T-shirts. The space is open to anyone who wants to visit, participate in dynamics with special gifts, and also rest between one show and another.
Finally, Hering will work on its key piece, the t-shirt, leading to the reflection that basic clothing can always be used in different ways or combinations. It all depends on people’s imagination and intention.
