According to the study by Tunad, Facebook leads searches on Google by the national population
Social media has played a key role in creating and sharing information, as well as serving as platforms for self-expression and connecting with communities around the world. With that in mind, Tunad carried out a survey to identify which are the most searched social networks on Google by Brazilians.
According to the data, Facebook continues to lead as the most searched social network in 2023, despite experiencing a decrease in absolute numbers of around 7.46 million searches compared to 2022.
TikTok was the platform that suffered the most drop, both in absolute and percentage terms, with a decrease of approximately 4.83 million searches, which corresponds to about 20.7% drop, dropping one position in the absolute number ranking of surveys.
On the other hand, Telegram stood out as the social network that grew the most in absolute terms, registering an increase of around 176,811 searches between 2022 and 2023. Additionally, this growth was also the most significant in percentage terms, with an increase of approximately 5%, establishing Telegram as the social network with the highest growth rate in the analyzed period.
Twitter ranked fourth, registering a position gain in the ranking of the most searched Social Networks, occupying fourth place.
