Space will be occupied by the Google Cloud team and the engineering team from São Paulo
Google opened its new office in São Paulo last night. With an area of 6.7 thousand square meters spread over three floors of the south tower of the So Paulo Corporate Towers condominium, the space represents an expansion of Google’s presence in the capital of São Paulo and will be the new home of Google Cloud in Brazil and the team of Google Engineering in São Paulo.
The expansion of our presence in So Paulo is a demonstration of the growth of our business and also a symbol of our confidence in Brazil and Latin America, emphasizes Eduardo Lpez, president of Google Cloud for Latin America.
With several spaces for collaboration, the new office was designed to encourage co-creation and synergy, in line with Google’s values. “Brazil is a powerhouse of engineering talent and a key part of our global innovation ecosystem. Alongside our engineering center in Belo Horizonte, this space is a breeding ground for innovations that we develop in the country, but that impact billions of users in all over the world, explains Alexandre Freire, director of engineering in So Paulo.
The first day of work for Googlers at So Paulo Corporate Towers will be on Monday, July 3, and the work model adopted will be a hybrid one, following the guidelines for each area and function pre-established by the company.
