The curator of the brands took into account the geographic distribution, so that the nine states were contemplated.
Instituto C&A, in partnership with Nordestesse, connected ten northeastern brands led by women that will have their pieces sold on the retailer’s marketplace, Galeria C&A, starting in July.
Curated by the creative hub that registers, expands and encourages the production, discussions and talent of brands and services by northeastern entrepreneurs, the brands Demod, Sherida, Funlab, Carnvalia, Vivian Lazar, Vem Meu Bem, Seja Balbina, Casa de Maria , Xique-xique and Carlotte, were selected for the development of a collection that unites urban, elegant and timeless elements.
“We tried to bring together a team of brands with different styles, in tune with the democratic character of Galeria C&A, but which carried some of these characteristics in their DNA. Most of them are less than 4 years old, they are names that can and should be better known nationally”, said Daniela Falco, founding partner of Nordestesse.
The curator took into account the geographic distribution, so that the nine states were contemplated; the rescue of ancestral craft traditions such as crochet, embroidery and basketry; the social and environmental impact caused by the brands and the example of being run by women and/or employing mostly women in their chain.
“In addition to offering more visibility to the brands, selling products on C&A’s marketplace is important to democratize access and knowledge of the productions of these culturally rich brands. This work, carried out by many hands, was necessary to create a connection and strengthen the objective of delivering fashion. with a purpose that actually causes a change of paradigms”, added Gustavo Narciso, Executive Director of Instituto C&A.
All items that make up the collection can be found on the C&A marketplace from July 4th.
