Alongside Escola Rua and Capacitrans RJ, the group will promote online classes with disciplines that involve theoretical and practical knowledge of the market
Development of skills to work in the advertising market. This is the main motto of the course, which offers opportunities for 30 people from underrepresented groups, including trans and transvestites, LGBTQIAPN+, black people, PCDs and women. The initiative is a partnership between the Dreamers Group Diversity Committee, Escola Rua and Capacitrans RJ.
Together, these institutions will promote free online classes for three months with disciplines that involve theoretical and practical knowledge to enhance the entry of these and other underrepresented groups in the advertising career.
The course goes beyond the techniques required in the advertising market. about creating a welcome space to bring different perspectives, open paths and build real employability possibilities, especially for trans and transvestites. If we could sum up the action in one word, it would be ’empowerment’, explained Debora Moura, head of Diversity and Inclusion at Grupo Dreamers and the Group’s Diversity Committee.
In all, 24 classes will be taught by professors and specialists in the market, especially for the project, and among the disciplines taught will be “Projects and Production, Art Direction & Writing, Web Creation, Media Performance and Event Management.
It’s always an immense happiness to do another class at Escola Rua. But this one has a special point. If we can help open more doors in the market for these professionals, we are sure that our advertising will earn a lot. They are important voices and we need these looks and talents in our industry. That Escola Rua can help to fill the market with people from under-represented groups, mainly trans and transvestites, emphasized Felipe Silva, founder of the Gana Agency and Escola Rua.
The knowledge trail will also include soft skills training aimed at enabling students to work on their personal skills, in addition to networking meetings and exchange of experiences with market professionals.
In the 2nd module, the class will begin the phase that includes the creation of the course conclusion project and, at the end of the classes, the conclusion works will be evaluated by an examining board composed of market professionals.
“We at Capacitrans – especially for me – feel honored to be part of a project of this magnitude, focused on trans, transvestite and non-binary people. To think that trans talents can be included and, thus, become VISIBLE in the market Cultural, Advertising and Marketing, regardless of their education, a glimmer of hope for people always excluded from opportunities and access. It will be great, and we are going with all the desire to see incredible results and transformed people! Rua project and the Dreamers! team, comments Andra Brazil, general coordinator and president of Capacitrans.
