The social network reached the milestone of 10 million users in six hours of launch
Meta, the company that owns the Instagram, Facebook and Whatsapp networks, announced the launch of its new social network, Threads. Available for download on Android and Iphone, the new platform reached the mark of 2 million users in just two hours.
This Thursday (6), Mark Zuckerberg announced the mark of 10 million users after six hours of the network’s existence.

Unlike Instagram, Thread gives preference to text messages, allowing its users to make posts of up to 500 characters, in addition to publishing videos of up to five minutes, links and photos, which makes the new network become the main one. Twitter competitor, acquired by Elon Musk in 2022.
“Our vision with Threads is to take what Instagram does best and expand that into the text, creating a positive and creative space to express your ideas. Just like Instagram, with Threads you can follow and connect with friends and creators who share your interests including the people you follow on Instagram and beyond,” explained Meta in its official launch release.

In its first hours of existence, the platform already had the presence of celebrities, influencers and, as expected, the famous “advertisements” on the network soon began.
Alongside Thelminha, Pequena L, Nah Cardoso, Babu Santana and other influencers, Unilever took the Cif Creamy product campaign, from the Cif brand, to the network along with the hashtags #MinhaPrimeiraPubli and #CIFnoTHREADS.

Recently, Elon Musk made changes to Twitter that displeased some of the users of the network, such as the limitation of 600 tweets per day for those who did not buy the verification and among others.
With that, Threads arrived at a good time for those who were no longer satisfied with the bluebird network and started posting memes saying “goodbye” to Musk’s network.
