To celebrate Pride Month in June, Disney Brazil carried out several actions aimed at the LGBTQIAPN+ community, encouraging the appreciation of self-expression and self-love. In addition to emphasizing that Pride should be celebrated every day, the actions also reinforce that, for the company, the theme is present in all its strategies and brand positioning.
One of the outstanding initiatives is the partnership established with DiaTV, a channel via streaming operated by Dia Estúdio, for a thematic program of ‘Pra Variar’. Presented by influencer Vitor Di Castro and journalist Caê Vasconcelos, the show’s production had the special participation of content creator Nátaly Neri, and Bruno Ferreira and Daniel Leal, from the ‘It Gets Better Brasil’ project, which supports, connects and empowers LGBTQIAPN+ youth and is one of the organizations supported by The Walt Disney Company.
In the program, available in full on YouTube, Bruno and Daniel tell details about the project and the partnership with Disney, which also has a commitment with other non-profit organizations to support the LGBTQIAPN+ community globally. As Adnews always makes it easy for you, watch the full show below.
In addition, the ‘Pra Variar’ studio was completely decorated with the Disney Pride Collection, a collection created by members and allies of the community and which is available throughout the year in the main physical and digital stores, with themed products of the characters Disney, Pixar , Marvel and Star Wars.
Bruno and Daniel also joined Pabllo Vittar in a videocast special from Radio Disney, with scenery also composed of products from the Disney Pride Collection. In the chat, also available in full on YouTube, the members of the ‘It Gets Better Brasil’ project and the singer told a little more about their careers, personal life and relationship with the LGBTQIAPN+ community. And there’s more!
In addition to the thematic content promoted by Disney Brasil, during the month, the public was able to enjoy inspiring stories directed at the LGBTQIAPN+ community in the services of streaming, linear channels and Disney social networks. Among the highlights, the National Geographic channel premiered, on June 28, the documentary ‘Pride Seen from Above’, presenting a unique view of some of the biggest LGBTQIAPN+ celebrations around the world.
It is also available on the Youtube channel of It Gets Better Brasil, the talk show ‘Conversas Que Inspire’, produced with the support of Disney. With the participation of LGBTQIAPN+ teachers and students, who talk about the importance of inclusion in the classrooms, the first season of the production was a finalist for the LED Award – Luz na Educação, by Rede Globo, being one of the 15 most innovative initiatives for education in Brazil in 2022, in addition to being nominated for three Rio WebFest awards: Best Webseries on Diversity, Best Non-Fiction Script and Best Webseries on Education, a category in which it won.
