You were thinking it was over, right? Nothing’s over! Still rocking (yeeeeeaaaaah), Adnews decided to recall some of the greatest campaigns of all time that used the good old rock n’ roll in your promotional videos. There’s creativity and nostalgia, see!
Hold this #TopPubli more “heavy-duty” than IZA’s music (which is not rock, but we love it too).
#5 Volkswagen – Novo Voyage
Hey, wasn’t it rock? You never imagined the songs of the band Sepultura in bossa nova rhythm, and that’s the brand’s balcony! If you’ve never seen the Sepultura that way, you’ve also never seen a sedan like the Voyage. By the way, I miss paying R$30,000 for a good car, right my friend?
#4 Volkswagen – The Last Mile
Back to Volks on our list, but it deserves it. The brand has prepared an animation that is beyond exciting about the farewell to the Beetle. To the sound of a beautiful arrangement of ‘Let It Be’, by the Beatles, our beloved four-wheeled beetle travels its last road while being applauded by the people. The music went very well, considering that, in English, the beetle is called beetlejust like the classic Liverpool boys band, but changing the second “e” to the “a”, in allusion to “beat”, which means beat.
#3 Pepsi – We Will Rock You
Is it strength you want? So, let’s talk about the day Pepsi achieved the feat of joining Britney Spears, Beyoncé and P!nk in a gladiator arena, interpreting one of Queen’s greatest hits: ‘We Will Rock You’. The ad even features a lion!
#2 Nike – Nike Secret Tournament
If what Pepsi did was worthy of applause, Nike deserves an award! Until today considered one of the best campaigns of all time, together with the Dutch agency Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam, the brand brought together the greatest stars sponsored by it in 2002 (such as Ronaldo, Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Roberto Carlos, Totti, Henry, among others ) in a cage, inside a ship, to hit a ball to the sound of ‘A Little Less Conversation’, by Elvis Presley, with the right to shipwreck at the end. Before watching the full movie, leave your guess: who scored the most goals?
#1 Hollywood – Advertising Film Collection
Today’s Top 1 is a compilation! Our honorable mention goes to the Hollywood cigarette brand. Smoking is not good for you, but in the 80s, considered by many to be the golden age of rock, smoking was synonymous with luxury and a “cool” life. On this World Rock Day, we took the opportunity to recall some of the brand’s best campaigns that always carried great soundtracks, with bands like Whitesnake, Survivor, Phenomena and others, combining scenes of extreme sports made with a lot of human action, without artificial intelligence and lack of of physical contact today. Let’s go for nostalgia!
So, did you like our ranking? Stay with us, next week there’s more!
