Visa, one of the sponsors of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, carried out an action last weekend to celebrate the arrival of the tournament, which starts next Thursday (20). In partnership with the artist Cléo Moreira, the company painted Rua Luiza Canero, in Água Rasa (east zone of São Paulo), and Monjolo, in Freguesia do Ó (north zone).
In addition to the capital of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Salvador also had streets painted in the payment company’s action, collaborating with artists and local communities.
The initiative is part of the #EscolhaJogarComElas movement launched in April, and aims to bring the Brazilian public closer to the universe of women’s football, taking advantage of the World Cup, which will be in Australia and New Zealand this year.
In addition to the paintings, Visa will make itinerant trucks available in the three cities for live viewing of Brazil’s games in the tournament.
Other Visa Actions
Visa joined with Sicredi, with the aim of promoting the 2023 FIFA Women’s Football Cup and the inclusion of women in sport, benefiting NGOs that work with projects related to women’s football.
The campaign is called ‘Come with them’, it features a version of the song ‘It’s a football match’, by the band Skank, from a female point of view. The song was adapted by a female-led team at the agency. Watch the campaign video below.
