Film aims to promote an inclusive and diverse environment in electronic games
Currently, around 51.1% of the gamer audience in Brazil are women, according to the 2021 Gamer Brazil Survey. Female participation in the gaming world is undergoing a significant transformation, and the female presence is standing out like never before.
Santeria, one of the main companies in the sector, with Boticrio, prestigious sponsor of the main female competitions of the Female Gamers Club Masters, such as the renowned Goddess Cup, the Female Masters and the innovative Evolution Protocol: Game Changers seeks to revolutionize the industry and break stereotypes.
With the film Heronas do Game 2, in addition to a message of acceptance, Santera and Boticrio aim to promote an inclusive and diverse environment in electronic games, encouraging participation and giving visibility to talented female gamers. Upon release on July 19, the film was among the most talked about subjects on LinkedIn and Twitter, the latter with more than 700,000 views in less than two hours.
We are very excited about this partnership between Druid and O Boticrio, who share a vision of a future where women have an even more significant presence in the gamer world”, said creative director, Felipe Luchi da Santera.
The Women’s Gamers Club Masters is an excellent space for competitors and a showcase for women to show all their talent and passion for games. “When I received the script, I identified right away. Because I also have my own heroine skin. It was incredible to portray this line of inclusion that is so important for Loud and to impress my vision and strength as a woman, with the support and freedom of the entire team at Druid and Boticrio”, says Gabe Maruyama, director (Angry duo)
Through this collaboration, Santera, Angry Duo and O Boticrio hope to strengthen female engagement and empowerment in electronic games, challenging any barriers that may still exist and making the Brazilian gamer scene a more inclusive and egalitarian environment.
