In a note, the company stated that the former director of artistic planning will continue with personal projects
SBT reported, this Wednesday (13), that director of artistic planning and creation Fernando Pelegio is leaving the broadcaster after 43 years of contribution.
According to the press release, Pelegio will continue with new personal projects and the executive’s departure from the channel is due to a decision in common agreement with the broadcaster’s management.
“It was 43 years of dedication to a house that gave me everything. I will forever be grateful to the entire Abravanel family, to my friends, directors and artists, to all my bosses from whom I always learned a lot and to all the employees who fought hard, side by side , for the good of SBT”, stated Pelegio.
Jos Fernando Pelegio joined the Silvio Santos Group in 1980, as an office boy at TV Record, which at the time belonged to the group. At SBT, he performed several roles in technical engineering, providing training to camera, software and hardware technical teams, training new generations of in-house professionals. Furthermore, the executive was also a cameraman.
In visual creation, Pelegio was responsible for designing and recording openings, vignettes, calls, as well as being part of the creation of the first style of the “Amarelinho” mascot, for the Italian Cup, in 1990. He was also one of the producers of SBT vignettes such as “Quem Busca Acha Aqui” (87/88/89), “Vem que Bom” (90), “Se Liga no SBT” (93), “Stay Connected on SBT” (94), “SBT 15 Years with You” (96), among others.
Pelegio was also part of the team that created the first video cartoon opening for SBT, on the Show Maravilha program, in 1993. In the 2000s, he implemented 3D in the creation of vignettes and, in the 2010s, he became director of artistic planning at SBT.
