The news was revealed during Pinterest Present, an event that marks the third global meeting between the company and advertisers
Pinterest introduced the platform’s new products and solutions for advertisers to the market. The announcement was made during Pinterest Presents, an event that marks the third global meeting between the company and advertisers, which took place this Wednesday (13).
Among the new features for advertisers are Premier Spotlight in the search tab and in the home feed, where brands will have premium channels on the platform to promote their campaigns and obtain more visibility with consumers and Showcase advertisements, an interactive solution that allows users to view and explore a brand’s content.
In addition to these, the platform also announced quizz ads, where brands can create a quiz experience that leads consumers to more personalized ideas, helping them delve deeper into decisions and towards a valuable purchase and Creative Studio, a tool which offers brands a quick way to create lifestyle images for Product Pins.
“We’ve made Pinterest more measurable from the first impression to the last click, and we’re excited to share more about our new products that span the consumer journey, all in a more positive place online,” explained Bill Watkins, Chief Revenue Officer at Pinterest.
With shopping a core experience on the platform and 55% of users thinking of the platform as a place to shop, Pinterest also announced new features that help users move from discovery to purchase in an even more seamless way, such as direct links to mobile devices, which help instantly direct users to a specific page in a retailer’s app.
In addition, Pinterest also announced direct links that take people from an ad on the platform to a retailer’s website with just one click, reducing the steps required for users to go from discovering a product to completing a purchase.
Another new feature focused on shopping, the platform also announced e-commerce integrations, such as the expansion of its ecosystem with two integrations for native Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Adobe Commerce applications for monetization. These integrations allow merchants to manage their platform product catalogs and configure directly within the apps they already use for Salesforce and Adobe.
For agencies, Pinterest revealed improvements to its automated business tools to help manage their clients’ presence on the platform, including Business Manager, a tool for advertisers that helps them efficiently automate complex workflows.
Returning to help users shape their visions and turn them into reality, the platform launched Collages, a feature designed for users to personalize ideas, visualize possibilities, and refine visions.
Collages allow users to cut out objects from a Pin and combine them with other cutouts to create interactive collages. Furthermore, collages will also allow brands to use the resource in their catalogs so that users can add their products to collages.
