Tintas Coral announced the Color of the Year for 2024 at an event that took place this Thursday (14), in So Paulo, and which was attended by architect Maurcio Arruda, TV presenter Astrid Fontenelle, actress and model Thaila Ayala, and TV presenter Thiago Oliveira.
With the theme “My Place in the World”, Color Futures 24, a study of behavior and color trends by AkzoNobel, manufacturer of Tintas Coral, pointed out that the Color of the Year will be the pinkish neutral, entitled “Place of Affection”.
Two decades of Color Futures capture the essence of significant changes in society’s tastes, desires and priorities in all their complexity, reflecting real-world events and providing a context for each era. In this edition, I would say that, if a color could embrace your home, this color is, without a doubt, Place of Affection, explained Juliana Zaponi, Marketing Communication and Color Manager for Decorative Paints at AkzoNobel.
The executive also explained that the color brings a touch of softness and warmth to the decor, without being overly romantic. ” a pink tone from the neutral palette that perfectly reflects the feeling that the house is a timeless refuge, while at the same time fitting perfectly with current trends, added Zaponi.
With the concept of “a space to call yours”, color design experts at AkzoNobel’s Global Aesthetics Center searched for a color that could convey a feeling of welcome and belonging. In the case of Brazil, the country was represented by Adriana Pedrosa and Carlota Gasparian, Color and Surface designers.
We looked for a soft, welcoming color that could transform any home into a personal haven to deal with the challenges each of us face daily. We are looking for a delicate, positive color to be used alone in a simple decor scheme or to complement a wide range of other colors. We have developed a harmonious collection that helps create the ideal atmosphere for every type of person, explained Heleen Van Gent, creative director at AkzoNobel’s Amsterdam-based Center for Global Aesthetics.
