Latest animation from Disney e Pixar, Elements has just arrived Disney+ with great success! The animation is the biggest debut of the year in streaming and is among the ten biggest film releases of all time, with 26.4 million views in the first five days on the platform.
Directed by Peter Sohn, produced by Denise Ream and executive produced by Pete Docter, the film portrays an extraordinary society called Elemental City, where harmony reigns between the four elements of nature (air, earth, fire and water) that cannot, Do not in any way mix. The plot unfolds around Fasca (original voice by Leah Lewis), a spirited woman in her twenties, full of humor and with an unconditional love for her family (although her temperament is somewhat fiery) and Gota (original voice by Mamoudou Athie), an empathetic, observant and extroverted young man, who does not hesitate to express his emotions (sometimes even in an uncontrolled way). Challenging their beliefs about the world they live in, the two decide to be friends, and their coexistence makes Fasca question the person she wants to be.
In his first five days on the job, streaming, Elements became the most watched animation premiere since the release of Red Grows A Beastalso from Disney and Pixar, in March 2022. The film also reached the most watched film debut in Latin America, within the platform.
Released in June this year, the film was also successful in theaters, grossing US$484 million at the global box office, with a 93% verified audience on Rotten Tomatoes and an A grade on CinemaScore. Internationally, the animation was particularly successful in South Korea, where it grossed US$330 million, becoming the most watched Pixar film in the country.
The script for Elements by John Hoberg, Kat Likkel and Brenda Hsueh, with story by Sohn, Hoberg, Likkel and Hsueh. The film’s original musical score was composed and conducted by Thomas Newman.
