C&A teamed up with Ventana to launch a capsule collection at retail, with clothes made using the upcycling technique, an idea that proposes the reuse of old objects.
With the motto “there is no final destination, make it cyclical”, Ventana, founded by Gabriella Pilotto, is recognized for its work focused on reusing second-hand parts, scraps and materials that would otherwise be discarded, with the aim of, through the process creative, unaccustomed to the obvious and transforming everyday pieces and fabrics into art.
The main part of the collaboration between the retailer and the brand is jeans and the idea of circular fashion, which aims to reduce waste and minimize the environmental impact of the fashion industry.
With pieces such as pants, shorts and jackets from a fashionable and daring perspective, the collab is made up of pieces donated to the ReCiclo Movement polls, clothes that have small defects and unused stocks from suppliers.
The partnership with Ventana forms part of C&A’s Jeans Week, which began on September 5th, and aims to expand the brand’s good ESG practices.
In addition to this, the week will feature other actions spread across the chain’s 334 stores, such as Mesa Circular, made up of recycled jeans models from C&A, a partnership with Brech Daz RoupaZ and the creation of desired pieces with the latest fashion trends. , produced with more sustainable cotton, which reduces environmental impacts and uses water more efficiently in its cultivation.
