Guarulhos Airport will have artificial intelligence from LATAM Airlines to organize part of the company’s passenger flow. Presented last Friday (22), the pioneering system in Latin America, and will initially be installed in check-in domestic airport at São Paulo airport.
The solution was developed in partnership between LATAM Labs and Proc Group. With nine cameras, the technology monitors the flow of passengers, converting movements into analytical data, which in turn provides insights on demand, quality of services, capacity and productivity of the LATAM team.
With this data in hand, the airline can redistribute labor and equipment resources to areas of greater demand, optimizing service. Furthermore, during peak periods, the company can anticipate needs and reinforce teams, ensuring that passengers are served efficiently and quickly.
In compliance with the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), LATAM guarantees that it does not have direct access to captured images. O software processes the information and provides only the data, without any visual identification of passengers.
According to the company, the implementation in Guarulhos is just the beginning, as the idea is to take this innovation to other airports in the country.
