Campaign with the motto Moving is good for dogs reinforces the importance of taking care of heart health
This week, Einstein launches the Moving is good for dogs campaign. In the video, a man reports having suffered a heart attack and comments that the doctor encouraged him to change his lifestyle. In the images, the highlight is a recipe with several photos of dogs.
The initiative reinforces the importance of taking care of cardiac health, in light of the date marked by World Heart Day, celebrated on September 29, and is based on recently published studies that demonstrated that dog owners have up to 65% less risk of death after a heart attack, in addition to up to 31% less risk of death due to any cardiovascular problem.
This happens because having a dog is a motivator to get out of a sedentary lifestyle, as the pet has needs, such as playing and going for a walk. And not only that, there is also the factor of interaction between humans and animals, which can help reduce stress and increase happiness, explains Marcelo Franken, medical manager of Cardiology at Einstein.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), it is estimated that around 80% of cases of death from cardiovascular diseases can be avoided with changes (even if small) in lifestyle, as practicing physical exercise, even if slight or in moderation, they help improve heart health. Contrary to this scenario, also according to the entity, Brazil today has the highest rate of sedentary lifestyle in Latin America and 5th in the world, with around 47% of the population sedentary.
In addition to the content published on social networks, Einstein will hold an exhibition by plastic artist Tico Volpato, with hearts and dogs made from paper, within its facilities.
