Luciana Lancerotti worked for 20 years at Microsoft Brazil, having worked in the areas of marketing and communication, and brought impact to the local business, supporting product and sales teams and aligning the entire operation with the company’s global strategy. In addition to her time at the technology giant, which earned her the award as one of the 100 best technology marketing leaders in the world, the professional has worked at Caterpillar, Hoechst (Clariant/Novartis) and IBM. She takes the stage alongside surfing legend Carlos Burle, both invited by the Rio de Janeiro unit of the global network Impact Hub, which returns to the programming of the third edition of the Rio Innovation Weekinviting its listeners to reflect on sustainability and its different multiplication agents.
With the aim of fostering the entrepreneurial potential of large communities, the stage promotes the sharing of those who make the transformation, permeating themes such as ESG, diversity and inclusion and social entrepreneurship.
Founded by two women, partners Patricia Seleri and Liliana Pinelli, the hubfrom the city that received two awards in the areas of innovation and environmental sustainability, a result of its experiences and purposes, within the scenario of entrepreneurship with socio-environmental impact, and the common desire to not only create successful businesses, but generate positive changes in their communities and the world.
We believe that Rio de Janeiro is the great hub of socio-environmental impact in Brazil. The city is a showcase of Brazil to the world, so we aim for the potential of Rio and its projects on the international stage, both those with a socio-environmental impact, as well as creative economy, sustainable tourism, in addition to the power of the favelas, say Patrícia and Liliana.

The Impact Hub stage will bring answers to those present with themes during the four days of the event that range from impactful trends, future opportunities, methodologies and ways of life. Thus, speakers cover ESG, diversity and inclusion, climate debates, sustainable tourism and economy, artificial intelligence and even entertainment, community and mental health. Impact Hub arrived in the country in 2007, when there was no impact business ecosystem in Brazil, with the proposal of being a community for creating this model, reinventing large companies and transforming public management. Its mission, therefore, remains to drive positive impact on business and society, with its more than 100 locations around the globe, connecting thousands of professionals, startups and organizations that seek to create a more sustainable and socially responsible world.
In Rio de Janeiro, later this year, together with Caixa Econmica Federal and CUFA, they launched a virtual stage of the program Favela Women, right after offering face-to-face training with the Social Innovation Laboratories of Rio, São Paulo and Salvador, for women living in these areas. The virtual trail, developed by the Favela Business School, trained 50 thousand women throughout Brazil, with funding from the Socio-Environmental Fund BOX.

How much can two Rio mothers contribute to the city of their offspring’s future? With careful thinking, based on their previous professional experiences in the corporate world, Liliana Pinelli and Patrcia Seleri founded Impact Hub Rio de Janeiro to foster all the entrepreneurial power of positive impact in the State. Liliana, the founder, worked in the third sector as executive director of Non-Governmental Organizations, where she implemented strategic planning, financial management and target programs, and developed programs for attracting and monitoring new projects, working with professional training for young people, inclusion of people with disabilities and empowerment of women victims of violence. J Patrcia, co-founder of hubworked in the main agencies in Rio de Janeiro, focusing on the areas of account management, strategic planning and marketing servicebeing an entrepreneur in the events sector, producing and coordinating initiatives in the corporate sector for large companies and in social actions.
