The campaign, produced by Yum in partnership with Effect Sport, aims to convey the emotion of Brazilian narrations
The NFL announced the launch of its first brand spot in Brazil. The film premiered on RedeTV! and ESPN this past Sunday (1).
The campaign, directed by Mariana Cobra and produced in partnership between Yum and Effect Sport, aims to convey the emotion of the games’ Brazilian narrations and, to this end, features the voice of actor and voice actor Gustavo Machado.
During the video, recorded in Rio de Janeiro, the characters appear inside a car, listening to the game and waiting for the outcome of the play. As the player approaches the attack, a cry of “touchdown” echoes instead of the traditional “goal”, with the message “there’s other football in the area”.
“The NFL’s first brand spot in Brazil is part of our planning with the league, and is only the first action in this direction. American football is increasingly included in the daily lives of Brazilians, whether they are fans of the sport or not. That’s why we count on This story is not commercial”, explained Pedro Rego Monteiro, CEO of Effect Sport.
