New Pink October campaign was created in partnership with Jotacom and highlights empathy as a key tool in the fight against the disease
With the aim of informing and raising awareness among men, women and young people in the fight against breast cancer, Femama, the Brazilian Federation of Philanthropic Institutions for Breast Health Support, teamed up with the digital agency Jotacom to launch the campaign With Empathy, We Are More Life. The project highlights empathy as an important point in raising awareness about the disease, provoking reflections on the importance of emotional support for patients facing this pathology.
The action displays pieces on the website and social networks with the intention of showing that this is a cause for all of us. In addition to medical treatments, support and empathy from family, friends, co-workers and the community plays a vital role so that patients can feel encouraged to deal with the disease, follow treatment, overcome discomfort and believe in cure. At the end of each visual material, there is a message for engagement with breast health.
Empathy was chosen as the core of the Pink October 2023 Campaign due to its meaning and importance for patients’ journeys. With this initiative, the institution seeks to share information that raises awareness, engages and makes people aware of the fact that breast cancer is a cause for all of us. After all, when a patient receives the diagnosis, the entire support circle is impacted. In addition to highlighting support and reception, the action also highlights the importance of early diagnosis, laws that cater to this population and appropriate treatments for everyone, aiming to reduce the progression of cases in the country.
