One of the largest Brazilian companies, Petrobras is celebrating 70 years of stories, challenges and achievements. And a series of actions were produced as part of the celebration, including an exciting campaign entitled The Energy of Tomorrow. Created by the agency Ogilvy and released this Tuesday (3), the date on which the company completes seven decades of existence, the advertising film takes viewers on a journey through time, highlighting crucial moments in Petrobras’ trajectory.
The script presents a futuristic approach, with photography and nostalgic direction, where a character travels through different eras in the company’s history, revealing important milestones along the way, until reaching the present day. In a timeline format, the founding of Petrobras in 1953 is highlighted; the exploration of the Campos Basin, in 1984; the beginning of sponsorship of Brazilian cinema, in 1994; the extraction of the first pre-salt oil, in 2008, among other memorable achievements. All this to the sound of the trio Gilsonswho adapted the song For us to wake up especially for the company’s anniversary.
The film celebrates seven decades of Petrobras’ passion for our country, honoring those who shaped our journey and looking with determination towards a sustainable horizon. A new era for the company, which is now focused on a fair energy transition, focusing on reducing emissions and new energy sources. a tribute to our history and an inspiration for tomorrow. In addition to the time-traveling character, who is a future Petrobras employee involved in the offshore wind farm project, symbolizing the company’s continuous search for innovation and sustainability, the film highlights employees who were present at crucial moments for the company and also features with the special participation of multi-champion para-athlete Daniel Dias, one of the first members of Team Petrobras.
The creative choice was to materialize this vision of tomorrow with a character who comes from the future, but, in a way, pays homage to the past.
