The event for the black and LGBTQIAPN+ community in Brazil takes place on Saturday (7), in So Paulo
The second edition of the Batekoo Festival, an event designed, created, executed and led by black people, is expected to bring together around 10 thousand people in São Paulo on Saturday (7/10).
With the theme “The Big Bang of Blacks”, the event will feature musical attractions from the black community and has the support of seven national brands: Spotify, Nivea, TikTok, Seda, Smirnoff, Kenner and Bem Bolado.
The event is held by BATEKOO, a platform for entertainment, entrepreneurship and black, peripheral and LGBTQIAPN+ cultures, with support from MAP Music, an agency of the MAP Brasil Group specialized in the development of musical projects. It aims to be the largest music festival proposed by and for the black, Afro-diasporic and LGBTQIAP+ community in Brazil. With this, it brings several attractions to its lineup: Liniker, Tasha & Tracie, Gregory, Kyan, Mu540, Gaby Amarantos, Grupo Revelao, Shevchenko and Elloco, Sampa Crew, A Dama and Gabriel do Borel.
We want to promote the celebration of blackness and Afro culture, so the party has a lineup 100% of black artists, the audience is mostly black and the ticket price is five times more affordable than the absolute majority of the main Brazilian festivals, in addition to being in a location with easy access to public transport. All of this is done to connect black artists with young people living on the outskirts and people from the LGBTQIAPN+ community, celebrates Deh Bastos, partner and executive creative director at MAP Brasil.
The Batekoo Festival takes place from 12pm to 10pm, at the Memorial da América Latina. The event will also be broadcast on the TikTok profile on Sunday (8/10).
