Xuxa is a unique figure in the national entertainment scene. J was the biggest star on TV, like queen of the little ones. She sold a huge amount of records. She had a lot of licensed products. She was the first of the blonde presenters of children’s programs (later came Anglica and Eliana). She had highly successful films in theaters, such as Crystal Moon, for example. But, as time passed, he had to reinvent himself. He tried the teenage audience, without much success. Recently, it was commented on again due to a Globoplay documentary, called Xuxa The Documentary. And now, he’s back at the cinema with A Fairy came to visit mewhose premiere coincides with… Children’s Day.
The story is based on the book best-seller by Thalita Rebouas. It tells the story of teenager Luna. She has problems with her mother, with her grades and also with the most popular girl in school. when the clumsy fairy Tatu (Xuxa) appears in her life. Tatu wants to help the girl, but things seem more difficult, since she has been sleeping since the 80s.
The film is silly, but it may appeal to Xuxa fans and teenagers who will identify with the character Luna. After 14 years away from the screen, Xuxa demonstrates that she still has her timing of comedy intact. She is clearly having fun, and is photographed very well. Little girl Tonton Periss (Helosa’s daughter) tries hard, but urgently needs a speech therapist. Overall, the film is fun, especially because Xuxa plays a lot with her own image and with the 80s. Silly, but it works.
Xuxa The Documentary
Documentary series in five episodes. Directed by Pedro Bial, the documentary covers the career of a model, presenter and actress, and of course, also her romances, marriages, controversies and fights. Many people participate in the episodes. The family includes her daughter Sasha and her husband Junno Andrade, as well as her ex-husband Luciano Szafir. Sergio Mallandro, Renato Arago, Luiza Brunet and ex-paquitas Letcia Spiller, Andrea Veiga and Tatiana Maranho also appear.
But, of course, the most anticipated moment for everyone was Xuxa’s reunion with her manager, Marlene Mattos. Marlene worked with Xuxa from the late 1980s to the early 2000s. The partnership ended after fights behind the scenes of the Planeta Xuxa program. The conversation between the two after almost 20 years without speaking is the highlight of the series.
