All funds raised from the new uniform will be donated to ACCamargo Cancer Center
Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras and Puma Brasil came together to support Pink October and Blue November, months focused on combating breast and prostate cancer, respectively.
The partnership brings with it the launch of a new uniform for the Palestine club, produced in limited quantities and which can only be sold through a virtual auction. Palmeiras and Puma gave up the profits from the shirt and all the money raised in the action will be donated to the ACCamargo Cancer Center.
“More than a football club, Palmeiras is an organization committed to the challenge of positively impacting the football industry and society as a whole. Through the Por Um Futuro Mais Verde program, the club works to encourage responsible behavior and carries out different actions of a social nature, exploring the great reach of its brand. If we want to transform the world into a better place, everyone, without exception, must contribute”, said Leila Pereira, president of Palmeiras.
The new uniform was created with a split design, with one half pink and the other blue, representing both cancer causes. On the right side of the chest is pink with the PUMA logo and, on the left, the club’s traditional “P” embroidered on top of the blue color.
On the back of the shirt, there is the signature “For a Greener Future”. The products have a tag with a holographic seal with the club’s badge, which guarantees the quality and originality of the product, in addition to having dryCELL technology, which provides the fabric with breathability.
“This is one of the most purposeful uniforms we have created since the beginning of the partnership between Palmeiras and Puma. Wearing the shirt for such a necessary cause, together with the club, is extremely gratifying, significant and historic for the brand”, highlighted Sebastin Diaz, president of Puma Brasil.
The new uniforms will be used on the field by the men’s squad in the game against Atlético-MG, which will take place this Thursday (19).
“Cancer still kills 10 million people annually, this scenario could be very different if we had healthier habits and the routine of taking screening exams. I thank PUMA and Palmeiras for joining ACCamargo in this action to raise awareness among all think about cancer before you have one. This is what we call cancer health”, added Dr. Victor Piana Andrade, general director of ACCamargo.
