Lucas Patrcio, founder of GMD, was the guest on episode #61 of Propcast, now on air
Founder of the agency specializing in games GMD, Lucas Patrcio defines the national games market as pulsating. According to him, much of this is because non-endemic brands are entering this universe.
Furthermore, the executive guarantees that the level of engagement of the segment is higher compared to other means. A game’s level of engagement transforms people’s habits, and brands are understanding that habits are powerful, said Patrcio.
Check out some excerpts from the executive’s testimony below. The episode with the full interview is available on the propmark channel on Spotify.
Games in Brazil
a pulsating market. I think he is finding evolution in other areas, not just development, such as communication as well. It is a very special moment, when non-endemic brands are entering this universe.
habit
Games are a habit that implies a change in behavior. You have a level of engagement that doesn’t exist in any other medium. You are watching a movie and go to the bathroom, for example, and the movie continues. The game is not: if you let go of the controller, the game stops. A game’s level of engagement transforms people’s habits, and brands are understanding that habits are powerful.
Opportunities
Brands have the opportunity to position themselves in a creative world, whose audience is eager to consume and engage. But, at the same time, there are a lot of business opportunities. Red Bull is promoting and creating its own e-Sports championships. We are talking about a territory in which you can act as a supporting player or bring something related to this market into your strategy.
