Publicis Groupe Brasil hired Claudia Fernandes as CMO. In the new role, the executive will be responsible for all communication at Publicis Groupe Brasil, including marketing, internal and external communication and events.
Cludia and the team will focus on the group’s brand, as well as that of its agencies: Arc, DPZ, Le Pub, Leo Burnett Tailor Made, MSL Andreoli, One, Performics, PMX, Prodigious, Publicis Brasil, Publicis Health, Publicis Leon , Publicis Play, Sapient and Talent.
After beginning her professional career in the United States in 1992, Claudia returned to Brazil and, in 1996, helped launch P&G’s main brands in the country, including iconic names such as Ariel, Pampers and Always. Her professional journey has taken her to prominent roles, including the position of General Manager in Chile, where she was responsible for high-profile accounts such as P&G, Diageo and the country’s largest bank.
His international trajectory continued with a move to Mexico in 2004, where he led the Latam business for P&G and local clients. In 2007, he was promoted to Senior VP at Saatchi & Saatchi, leading Latam and global businesses for P&G and Novartis.
Back in Brazil, Claudia led the digital transformation of 17 magazines and played a fundamental role in creating the first e-commerce for Marie Claire, during her time at Editora Globo. She made a major transformation at the Azul Linhas Areas brand where she was CMO. Also at Azul, she prepared the communication for the company’s IPO in Brazil and the United States.
“You need to have a marketing perspective on the Group’s brands. A strategic business perspective. Publicis Groupe Brasil can serve the biggest advertisers in the country with all their needs. But, as with every brand, they need to know and experience”, said the new CMO.
