Shopee launches +Negritude for black awareness month























Campaign aims to give more visibility to products from black entrepreneurs on the platform

Shopee announces the launch of +Negritude, a page with products from black entrepreneurs and other collections also aimed at black people. The initiative seeks to give more visibility to these items and their sellers during Black Consciousness Month.

The page will function as a space dedicated to products related to black culture, where buyers will be able to find a variety of items from different categories such as fashion, beauty, decoration, books, art and much more. On November 20th, in honor of Black Awareness Day, Shopee will also provide discount coupons of up to R$10 for users to enjoy purchases over R$40 on products on the page.

The +Negritude page will have the following sections:

  • Entrepreneurial Negritude: this collection will prioritize black sellers on the platform, highlighting their stories and products;
  • Meu Black: area dedicated to hair products, with priority for the Salon Line and laces for curly, frizzy and wavy hair;
  • Meu Brilho: skincare products suitable for different skin tones and textures;
  • My Style: section with an emphasis on men’s fashion and accessories that represent Afro-Brazilian culture;
  • My Story: presenting a selection of books written by black authors that address topics relevant to the black community.

The special collections on the +Negritude page will be available from November 1st to 30th on the Shopee app.
