Film celebrates 31 years of the cultural event dedicated to diversity in Latin America
Stink Films was invited by Festival MIXBrasil to participate in the co-creation of the campaign for the 31st edition of the event, which takes place from November 8th to 19th in So Paulo.
To celebrate the Festival’s 31st anniversary, the idea of the duo Brendo+Gonfiantini, from Stink Films, was to increasingly encompass immersive experiences that transcend form, including all artistic expressions such as cinema, theater, performance and literature.
“Making a film using AI still has many challenges, barriers and adjustments, but as a creative process it is very fascinating and needs a whole group around it that understands this. In a year when Mix offers greater possibilities for narratives in works and productions LGBTQ+, this language is at the service of the message. After all, we have never had so many possibilities and we have never been so mixed”, reinforces Danilo Janjacomo.
The proposal of the film, which features a soundtrack from Loud+, is to redefine the essence of cultural events and transcend borders, embracing innovation. With the aim of carrying out a kind of experiment, mixing and interweaving various types of tools and techniques in the construction of the film, the professionals involved were fundamental in the campaign with a process full of barriers and challenges and 100% AI.
“The biggest learning from this process is that, even with improved tools that facilitate creation, the human factor remains essential. Celebrating the successes that the machine makes is an even more human and pleasurable feeling. Using AI as a creation tool, training the The machine, guiding its successes and surprising itself with its mistakes, opened our minds to a profusion of possibilities. Sometimes, the idea that revolutionizing everything can be hidden in error”, comment Brendo+Gonfiantini, director duo at Stink Films.
The MixBrasil Festival is a cultural event dedicated to celebrating diversity, promoting artistic expression and advancing social inclusion. The program for the 31st edition of the festival includes, in addition to national and international films awarded at the world’s main festivals, premieres of theatrical performances and immersive experiences, workshops and panel discussions on the topic of sexual diversity.
