Campaign seeks to encourage vaccination
The Ministry of Health launches the Vaccination campaign against Covid-19 2 Semester 2023, to reinforce the importance of vaccination as the best way to combat the virus and serious forms of the disease.
The campaign is already being broadcast on television, radio, the internet and in places with large circulation of people across the country. Created by Nacional Comunicao, the campaign tells the real story of Milena Viana, 29 years old, from São Paulo, in a statement warning of the risks of not getting vaccinated.
The Secretary of Health and Environmental Surveillance, Ethel Maciel, explains that there are a number of vaccine-preventable diseases, such as measles, whooping cough and the flu. Covid-19 also became part of the Department of the National Immunization Program. This is a disease that requires constant monitoring, requires attention and that is why we have strengthened prevention actions through the National Vaccination Movement, she highlights.
The vaccine is available free of charge in the Unified Health System (SUS) for the entire population over 6 months of age. People over 18 years of age, who have already taken at least two doses of the vaccine, must receive a booster dose of the bivalent vaccine.
