In the United States, this weekend is the time for a big family celebration. Thanksgiving, or Ao de Graas. For those who don’t know, this tradition originated in 1621, in Plymouth, in the state of Massachusetts. This happened when native Indians and a group of settlers came together to celebrate the end of winter and celebrate that year’s good corn harvest. The celebration lasted three days and was marked by the sharing of food. Thanksgiving has already been the theme of several series episodes. Some are even among the most classic in the history of American TV. Here I have separated nine unforgettable episodes that have the holiday as their theme. See below:
Glee – season 4 – Thanksgiving – Disney Plus
This was a very beautiful episode of Glee. Especially since several former students are back. And with that, the Glee club members ask the alumni for advice on Regionals. Elsewhere, Rachel and Kurt enjoy a non-traditional Thanksgiving meal in New York. The episode features Sarah Jessica Parker, who even sings!
Greys Anatomy – season 2 – Thanks for the memories –Star Plus
Izzie wants to get into the festive Thanksgiving spirit. She wants to prepare a perfect dinner so that none of the doctors misses out! However, she has no idea how to start, and Burke appears to help her. Meanwhile, Meredith, Alex and Cristina continue working instead of helping Izzie. And George skips dinner to follow his OMalley tradition: going out to shoot a turkey, a typical Thanksgiving dish. Good times in the series.
Friends – season 5 – The One With the Thanksgiving Flashbacks – HBO Max
Of course, everyone knows the famous scene with the turkey on the head, right? Well, that episode. The gang reminisces about Thanksgivings of the past, while Chandler tells Monica he loves her. A classic!
Smallville – season 10 – Ambush – Prime Video/ HBOMAX
I love this episode from the last season of the series. General Sam Lane and his daughter Lucy (Michael Ironside and Peyton List) come to see Lois, and “protect” her from Clark. Meanwhile, Rick Flag and the Suicide Squad prepare for an anti-vigilante law. J Oliver deals with Tess’s new position in the tower.
The witch – season 4 – Samantha’s Thanksgiving to Remember – Pluto TV
Classic of classics of Thanksgiving episodes. Because of Aunt Clara’s magic, the Stephens family and Mrs. Kravitz are transported to the past. And they end up spending Thanksgiving with the original pilgrims.
Dexter – season 4 – Hungry Man – Paramount Plus / GloboPlay
Dexter realizes that the Trinity Slayer He terrorizes those close to him to maintain the perfect family image. When he arrives at the window, Masuka sees Elliot kiss Rita, who allows herself to do so for a moment to compose herself later. Debra learns more about Lundy’s death during Thanksgiving dinner.
Modern Family – season 6 – Three Turkeys –Star Plus
In the story, Phil is preparing Thanksgiving dinner this year with Luke as his sous chef. Claire doesn’t trust them and prepares a secret turkey as a backup. Jay and Gloria had plans to go away for the holiday, but when the trip is canceled at the last minute, they decide not to tell anyone. Mitch is tired of always being the bad cop and has forced Cameron to deal with Lily’s refusal to wear a nice dress to dinner.
Gossip Girl – season 1 – Blair Waldorf must pie – HBO Max
When Dan discovers that Serena and her family will be celebrating Thanksgiving alone, he naively invites them to spend the holiday with his family, creating a delicate situation between Rufus and Lily.
This is us – season 1 – Pilgrim Rick – Star Plus/ Prime Video
As always, when it comes to This is Us, it will be impossible for you not to be moved by this episode. In it, Jack saves the day and creates new traditions for the family. Randall still keeps up the traditions each year, eating hot dogs, watching Police Academy 3 and wearing Pilgrim Rick’s top hat.
