Program wants to support organizations to test projects to combat disinformation through technology
O Projor (Institute for the Development of Journalism) and the Google News Initiative launched, this Tuesday (5), registrations for the Codesinfo project – Innovation Fund Against Online Disinformation.
The program aims to support selected organizations to develop and test innovative projects to combat misinformation through technology. The findings and results will be shared with the news ecosystem later so that they can be replicated by other newsrooms.
The selected projects will receive an investment of up to 100 thousand reais to implement the solution, Google said.
Any Brazilian media outlet listed in the News Atlas can sign up. Proposals will be eligible for the development and implementation of systems, tools, applications or journalistic products that provide solutions to the problem of disinformation in digital media.
When registering, proponents must describe the idea for their project, present a schedule to be completed within 7 months and a basic budget for implementation.
#Fake
Last week it was Ita Unibanco’s turn, which presented the #Fake platform, which aims to help combat fake news related to the bank and the financial market as a whole.
Driven by Q-Insider, Quaest’s platform for collecting and mining data, #Fake has the ability to track and identify fake news related to the Ita brand on websites, blogs, social networks and message groups.
