HughesNet announced the launch of the “Christmas Via Satellite 2023” campaign, which aims to use the internet to connect children with the magic of Christmas through a video call with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
This year, the action has six options of Santas and Mummy Nois of different ethnicities, including a Santa Claus who signs in Libras (Brazilian Sign Language). In total, more than 720 videos were recorded, including the most registered names in Brazil in the last 5 years.
“We started the action in 2020 and it was a great success, so we resumed in 2021. We paused the campaign last year with the end of the pandemic, but we had many requests to resume it. With this initiative, we continue to connect Brazil not only to the internet , but also at Christmas”, said Rodrigo Cavalieri, Marketing Director at Hughes do Brasil.
To make the interaction more realistic, the video call is simulated through an application that enables the camera on the user’s cell phone or computer and displays alongside the video of Santa or Mrs. Claus, who talks and interacts with the child.
The action reflects HughesNet’s commitment to being closer to its audience every day and bringing connectivity to the most remote locations, including at Christmas.
