Apro (Associação Brasileira de Obras Audiovisuais) and Film Brazil announced the winners of the Whext Awards 2023, during the closing ceremony of the WHEXT festival – “Back to The Future, led by Marianna Souza, executive president of APRO and head of WHEXT , focused on advertising audiovisual production, held on the 7th, at the British Brazilian Center. The festival is organized by APRO Brazilian Association of Audiovisual Works Production in partnership with FilmBrazil, a Brazilian audiovisual internationalization platform developed in agreement with ApexBrasil – Agencia Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency.

Throughout the day, the public was able to follow 7 panels and 5 workshops, with the participation of 31 speakers, 3 of whom were international guests, where they reinforced debates on the ESG pillars, especially Social and Governance, through content focused on ageism, in the movement against audiovisual harassment (Cut!) and in the promotion of new talents in the market, in addition to 25 WHEXT Connection business rounds, which brought together 9 companies, carried out in partnership with ApexBrasil, which aims to promote the rapprochement of international market with national professionals.

The grand finale of the event took place with the presentation of awards to the winners of the Whext Awards 2023. The stage director, Julio Cezar Xavier da Silveira, who passed away in April of this year, aged 82, was honored with the Contribution to the Market Award.
