The seventh edition ofWME Awards powered byBillboard Brasil, an award entirely dedicated to women in the musical universe, takes place this Thursday (14) at Teatro Srgio Cardoso, in So Paulo (SP), and announces some big names who will take the stage at the event. This year, alongside Preta Gil, singer and songwriter Larissa Luz will also present the awards.
The WME Awards always prepare great performances to celebrate the careers and legacy of its honorees. In this edition, Daniela Mercury, Faf de Belm and Ala will meet with Dona Onete to celebrate her beautiful story at 84 years old, while Lusa SonzaPaula Lima and Julia Mestre will make a unique tribute Rita Leewho passed away this year and revolutionized music in Brazil.
Fernanda Abreu,Karol Conk, Carol Biazin and Uana will also perform on the WME Awards stage. In addition to them, other artists and professionals will participate, handing out prizes to the winners. In the seventh edition, a team of 600 ambassadors from the most different areas of the music industry, spread across the five regions of Brazil, respecting the plurality of the award, was responsible for selecting the nominees for the 17 categories.
Ana Caas, for example, announced the winner of the album category; Mari Moon and Titi Mller will have an unprecedented meeting to present the Mainstream Music category; Eli Iwasa, great highlight of electronic music, will be responsible for his category of life: DJ; in addition to Marina Sena, Marcela Ceribelli, Ded Teicher, Thelma Assis, Valentina Luz, among other incredible women, who will also announce some winners.
Voting for the 17 categories is divided between votes from the technical jury and popular voting, carried out via the award website. In this edition, the WME Awards powered by Billboard Brasil is sponsored by Heineken, GM and Natura Musical, and the broadcast will be carried out by UOL, starting at 9pm.
