O United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) appointed, this Friday, a new ambassador: the actress and presenter Mix. Alongside Bruno Gagliasso, Daniela Mercury, Lzaro Ramos, Renato Arago, Thaynara OG and the character Mnica, Maisa now joins UNICEF in support of the rights of children and adolescents.
UNICEF has had ambassadors all over the world since 1954. They are artists, athletes and other personalities who take advantage of their talent and recognition to promote and defend the rights of girls and boys. Ambassadors are chosen not only for the fame they have, but, mainly, for the credibility they have in the eyes of their public and for their willingness to work for children and adolescence, despite having a professional schedule full of commitments.
The work of UNICEF ambassadors is vitally important for the population to mobilize in defense of children and adolescents. Maisa had already been engaged with UNICEF since 2018, having actively participated in actions for World Children’s Day and campaigns aimed at child immunization, among other topics. Now, as an ambassador, she will contribute even more, says Youssouf Abdel-Jelil, UNICEF representative in Brazil.
The appointment took place at an event at the headquarters of Meta, in São Paulo, last Friday (15), with the presence of ambassadors Thaynara OG and Mônica, together with the young UNICEF activist, Erick Soares. Alongside Maisa, they debated the power of young influence and the importance of adding voices to transform the reality of children and adolescents in Brazil.

It is a privilege to use my voice to contribute to causes that are so important to our society, says Maisa.
